Abstract painting in red, orange and black

Painter / Venezuela

Rodrigo López Pietri

An art that is meant to be recognized, not explained.

Abstract painting in red, orange and black

Rodrigo López Pietri paints at the edge between the subconscious and the conscious. This exhibition follows four lines of his work, from framed reliefs to single-stroke drawings, made to be felt before they are understood.

About the artist

Rodrigo López Pietri

Born in Florida in 2001, López Pietri moved to Venezuela at the age of three and returned in 2024 to reconnect with his roots. He works in abstraction, in acrylic, vinyl and mixed media on raw canvas, wood and metal structures.

He is the founder of Concinesismo, an approach that asks for recognition rather than explanation. His pieces are made to set off something inside the viewer, not to deliver a single reading.

Bodies of work

Six lines of enquiry.

  1. Resonancia Interna

An ongoing visual investigation of the boundary between subconscious and conscious states, through abstract composition.

  2. Orden Caótico

Abstract pieces that talk to the subconscious, where geometry acts as code and chaos as origin.

  3. Una Mente Diferente

Repeated strokes of a single brush at around ninety degrees, an attempt to contain the intangible and give structure to inner chaos.

  4. Línea

A study of the stroke as a reflection of the mind in motion, from impulse to careful form.

  5. Órbita

A series that grew out of Línea, following straight lines as they turn into circles and looking for the hidden order inside chaos.

  6. Balance de Hierro

A sculpture about mutual support and equilibrium, where balance becomes structural necessity rather than a concept.
