A week along Venezuela's mid-coast: three nights in Choroní inside Henri Pittier (first national park, 1937), then drive west across Falcón to Chichiriviche for three nights of Morrocoy cay-hopping. Adds up to the deepest Caribbean immersion you can do without a flight: cloud-forest birding, Chuao cacao, Sunday tambores, then mangrove channels and white cays. Bring cash, bring a hat, and budget a full half-day for the Maracay → Choroní road in both directions.
Best months: Jan, Feb, Mar, Jul, Aug.
