Five days on the Aragua coast through Henri Pittier — Venezuela's very first national park (1937). Drive the legendary serpentine road from Maracay (110+ curves) into the cloud forest, then down to the colonial fishing villages of Choroní and Puerto Colombia. Spend a full day at Hacienda Chuao's cacao plantation, beach-jump from Playa Grande to Cepe and Aroa by boat, and finish with the iconic Sunday tambores drumming if you time it right. Bring cash and patience: the road is slow and the wifi is worse.
Best months: Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, Jul, Aug.
