A 7-day pairing of Venezuela's capital and its alpine heart. Three days in Caracas (Avila hike, Chacao food, UNESCO Ciudad Universitaria), then a domestic flight to Mérida for four days of cable car, páramo, andean cheese, and Pueblos del Sur. This combo is the easiest way to taste both extremes without long internal drives. Internal flights (Caracas → El Vigía via Conviasa) are the move; the bus is 12 hours and not advised for first-timers.
