In the rainy season the world’s tallest waterfall runs at full force — the best window to see Angel Falls thunder off Auyán-tepui.
Angel Falls (Salto Ángel / Kerepakupai Merú) drops nearly a kilometre off the flank of Auyán-tepui in Canaima National Park — the tallest uninterrupted waterfall on Earth. Its flow depends entirely on rain, and in the wet season it becomes a torrent visible from far across the savanna.
Reaching it is part of the experience: a flight to Canaima, then a river journey by curiara through the tepui landscape to the base of the falls.
